In\u00e8s Katamso,<\/b>
between nature and dream<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Born in 1990 in Yogyakarta, In\u00e8s Katamso began her career creating murals before turning to smaller formats, giving her access to a more intimate scale to skim her inner world.<\/p>

Drawing on both a scientific and spiritual perspective, the artist studies micro-organisms and fossils to question the harmony of our environment and reconsider the concept of human life.<\/p>

The young woman’s multicultural heritage, originate from Indonesia and France, exerts a significant influence on her work. This duality enables her to access diverse cultural dimensions, deconstructing beliefs deeply linked to the notion of identity, in order to achieve a more global perception of herself and the world surrounding her.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Farah Wardani,<\/b>

Art historian and passionate curator from Indonesia, Farah Wardani has contributed to several projects highlighting contemporary creativity of South-East Asia.<\/p>

Specialist in the Indonesian art scene, she was the artistic director of the Jakarta Biennale in 2021 and participated to the publication “Indonesian Women Artists: The Curtain Opens” in 2007.<\/p>

A visionary committed to the younger generation, Farah Wardani has also curated many exhibitions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Welcome to the plastic age<\/b>
an impactful installation denouncing the destructive impact of plastic in our societies<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Inspired by Balinese tales, In\u00e8s Katamso considers this matter as a monstrous creature, denaturing the environment and transforming all the living beings into chimeric entities.<\/p>

The artist thus materializes the consequences of plastic through three natural reigns: the plants, the animals and the minerals, in forms of sculptures cold in colors, symbols of sterility. Imbued with Hindu culture and mythology, this exhibition offers a unique aesthetics inviting the Lyonnais audience to relect concerning the degradation of our ecosystem.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
