Her passion for photography comes from her first travels, during which she used her father’s analog camera.
Influenced by her studies in economics, political science and photojournalism, Nella Aguessy aims to create a unique narrative in each of her shots.
A rebellious approach transforming social narratives
Through her photographic projects, she aims to raise debates on pressing social issues, with the aim of bringing about change.
Approaching socio-politcal themes, espacially about memory and neo-colonial resistance, she invites the viewer to wander through a world in suspense, sublimated by a documentary approach, raw aesthetic work and a hint of rebellion.
