The ellipse Prize is a contemporary art competition established in 2021 which seeks to highlight each year a different country’s artistic creativity in France.
The ellipse Prize is dedicated each year to an emerging scene from a specific geographical area
For each edition, partnerships and a selection committee are constituted in line with the artistic scene being highlighted
During an application period of several weeks, artists who meet the eligibility criteria can complete an online application including an exhibition proposal based on a given theme
In addition to an exhibition hosted in France and a 360° communication campaign, we offer professional support according to the specific needs of each artist
Winner of the ellipse prize’s fifth edition dedicated to the Ghanaian creation, Emmanuel Aggrey Tieku beneficiates from his first solo-show during the 10th edition of the AKAA fair.
Every year, thousands of tons of used clothes arrive at the port of Accra. Their poor quality prevents reuse, leading to uncontrollable textile pollution.
Through “HOW TO HEAL A B-R-O-K-E-N WORLD – Fragile Origins, Futile Foundations” Emmanuel Aggrey Tieku questions our relationship to these materials and to our garments in an era of overconsumption.
