The ellipse prize is a contemporary art competition established in 2021 which seeks to highlight each year a different country’s artistic creativity in France.

During an application period of several weeks, artists who meet the eligibility criteria can complete an online application including an exhibition proposal based on a given theme

Launching of the ellipse prize's sixth edition
In 2026, the endowment fund will highlight a new emerging artistic scene by addressing the competition to African artists residing in Morocco.
Shaped by African, Mediterranean and diasporic influences, Moroccan contemporary creation unfolds as a space where personal narratives meet collective stories, and where traditions confront contemporary issues.
This year, the ellipse prize partners with the Mustaqbal prize, a competition initiated by the TGCC Foundation in favor of Moroccan emerging artists. On this occasion, the winners of each prize will benefit from a common residency to achieve an exhibition project to be exhibited in Paris during spring 2027 then in Casablanca in November 2027.
