The prize

The ellipse prize is a contemporary art competition established in 2021 which seeks to highlight each year a different country’s artistic creativity in France.

An original prize between visibility and mobility

Launching of the ellipse prize's sixth edition

In 2026, the endowment fund will highlight a new emerging artistic scene by addressing the competition to African artists residing in Morocco. Shaped by African, Mediterranean and diasporic influences, Moroccan contemporary creation unfolds as a space where personal narratives meet collective stories, and where traditions confront contemporary issues. This year, the ellipse prize partners with the Mustaqbal prize, a competition initiated by the TGCC Foundation in favor of Moroccan emerging artists. On this occasion, the winners of each prize will benefit from a common residency to achieve an exhibition project to be exhibited in Paris during spring 2027 then in Casablanca in November 2027. To apply, the candidates must fill in the dedicated form by clicking on APPLY below.

The sixth edition's calendar

  • call for applications: from February 16 to April 13, 2026
