After being interested in computer graphics, the artist discovered an attachment for colors and decided to devote himself to conceptual art.

Perpetually in introspection, discovering his inner world and influenced by his subconscious, Thierry Tomety uses his artistic practice as a medium to maintain a dialogue with his conscience.

Matter to explore consciousness

For the artist, creation is about materializing the void, reserved to the mother of everything. In this way, he takes advantage of substances that inspired him as sand, cardboard and paint. He gives life to material through a damaged and matured aspect with natural colors.

This creation process and the idea of a perpetual beginning are at the center of his practice. He conceptualizes it by denaturing and mixing elements to extract artworks as a basis for reflection about life meaning. These fragile and unstable works evolve with time and worsen, while keeping their harmony.
